This game legitimately made me cry (Final Dreadnought R3), and hits every fiber of my soul in many ways. It is a piece of art.I didn't realize my only post is about Sonic Fan Game Headquarters. By all mean, keep this license alive, even if a sequel is not before long, don't let it be forgotten. Every point I mentionned earlier is no big deal, taken alone, but the fact you scored so much talent in ALL aspects of the game is amazing. Soooo what I mean Seraphna is, it's unfair, but even though it's unfair, I'd be glad if you and all the team "knew" that Freedom Planet is very, very highly underrated even though it's getting some attention, it's worth much more. Among everything I've played in 16-32 bits era (and I've been playing for more than 20 years now) it ranks high, as high as in top three platform/action games ever, next to Megaman X license that is one of my favorite. It beats Sonic, even though I love this license very much, bringing its own category with so much innovation/efficiency, it has in fact nothing to do with the Sonic kind anymore. This game is, by all mean, in all aspect, superior to most of what I have seen in its category, and in platform/action games in general. The music is absolutely astoninishing, beautiful, catchy, fits the levels and pace well, give emphasis on moments, it has heart and harmony, I listen to it at works sometimes, it always give me a good mood. The story is very good, contrary to some reviews or opinions, it fits very well its own universe - yes it has gaps because of developpement necessary cuts but it still holds very well and even more with explanations given on these forums based on unused files - the tone is nice, some said it is too childish but this is fitting the universe and characters, it's colorful and cheerfull, blended in with a dark tone from the ark enemy who does quite a good job at it, and there are some pretty intense moments. The pace is excellent, with sub bosses not to hard but giving a good change, and boss being challenging but fair and very learnable, giving satisfaction in your own improvement. The levels are varied, clever, well designed, can be played through either with high speed goal or exploration (this is hard to pull when designing). The sprit are big enough, pretty, detailled, and fits the universe and levels very well. The graphics are charming, neat, colorful. The gameplay is near-perfect, flexible, empowering, tough but fair, with a lot of skill-improvement room. It may seems like only a good medium-sized game, but in many game-design ways, there's a lot of talent at work here. I find it hard to believe considering the overwhelming quality of the game overall >< Seriously, to all of the team, it is masterpiece material. (Can you believe we've been entirely ignored by most major sites?) Sales not only give us income but the increased sales numbers increase our selling power and help us convince big reviewers and stuff to give us more attention.
